Hoisin Dipping Sauce

1 clove garlic, minced
2 teaspoons oil
1/2 cup hoisin sauce
3 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon (or more) hot sauce or red pepper flakes
2 tablespoons chopped peanuts

Saute garlic in oil until fragrant.

Stir in remaining ingredients except peanuts. Remove from heat and let cool.

Divide among individual bowls. Sprinkle with peanuts.
